Dear Readers,
Christmas 2008 is here at last and to the many this means eating, drinking and opening lots of presents. This is not however the real reason for christmas as you all know. Xmas is a time for giving, ceeibrating and gathering as a family. (Gorden Bennett-not again!)

We must all remember that Christmas is about giving not just to the rich, but the poor this is why we feel ask you to spend a few minues over the next week 'Feeding the World' (Click Here for post). It won't take long and only cost you internet time.

We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Food, drink and presents that you can enjoy as a family. Today, 25 December, is the second Christmas we've been on the web and we look forward to bigger & better things to come with the New Year.

Favicon

What is a favicon?
Read the post Favicon for more information!

Few people know that having a FAVICON helps improve web-traffic. RIGS-TemplatePage's favicon is visable next to the blog address in the address bar lof your browser. Our blog is now easily reconnised in any bookmark/favorites/useful links, pannels/menus/lists that a user many use.

Our Favicon can also be add to the desktop of most computers. This is done by drag & drop. Click the image and drag it on to the desktop. That's all you need to so!


Webmasters/Blog Owners

You may wish to add a favicon to your website or blog. To do this try looking at the lonk under the search boxes on the left hand side. Below the 'Blog Archive' pannel.

Promotion

To promote a website or blog around about Christmas time. You['ll have to start the campaign soon to attract custom/visitors. Some ideas range from baking cakes fore the homeless (A good deed at this time of year normally works to bring the public to your domain name). Another seasonal related promotion is to hand out Mince pies (with a napkin printed with your blogs/websites domain name) in a local shopping street.

Examples:

This year the RIGS Group Central Network is going to be:

• Running it's Christmas-No Shopping Campaign-on the (RIGS Group Blog: Always Talking Rubbish!)
• Decorating the RIGS Group Central Network's collection of blogs and websites with seasonal things.(Even a surprise event planned apparently!)
• Writing-In-The-Air intend to post a brand new, never seen before short story relating to Christmas.
• RIGS-TemplatePage are intending to release their new site before Christmas (News Just In).

So there are quite a few promotion ideas there, but don't let the blog tell you what to do. Think for yourself! Get togather and decuss it, maybe start a group/forum.

News Just In!

End of No Spam Campaign with wasn't a huge success but maybe next year it will be!

With this news from the RIGS Group Blog-Always Talking Rubbish (New Name-Don't ask!)

"The RIGS Group Blog-Always Talking Rubbish™ can report that RIGS Group Cental™ have today anounced that in partnership with Another-Wage™ they've started the Development and Creation of the RIGS-TemplatePage™ website. Although they haven't confirmed what the purpose of this website is as of yet, RGB-ATR suspect a free service that has something to do with E-Trading." (From: RGB-ATR At: 3:10PM today)

This is great news as the RGB-ATR states- nobody has confirmed the exact purpose of this venture but it bound to be good for RTP!

Search for books

Ever tried searching for a book on a bookshops website?
We did today, We tried one got the right result So we tried another to compare the prices and got the messages 'Not Found'. We ask you!
Not only that they say the book is out on a certain date and you have to wait a week because they're not stock! To say the least the sites we went to are the biggest. So really you'd think they'd get at least a couple of the new releases in the warehouse!

That#'s no way to run online stores, your completing for return traffic-if you ask us some companies get too big headed!

General

Given that this post should either get post at Mid-night or Mid-day, I don't know whether to say have a good lunch or good night so I'll say both.

News on Spam Campaign

If it's Mid-night then go to bad and read this in the morning. If it's lunch time eat while you read. The Spam campaign is about how to provent spam. See the guild below. Basicly it's going fine, but it's got another three weeks yet.

Story Release Date

The anti-Spam campaign short story is to be released on the 1st of June.

rigsgroup.central - RIGS Group: New website for the RIGS Group as you can see it's about all the blogs currenntly. New features will be add every now and then so watch the 'hyper-space'. The RIGS Group have also managed, with help from other websites, to add a favicon so you can recognise the RIGS Group when you add it to your bookmarks.

What is a favicon?

A favicon is a small image which appears next to the address in the address bar on your browser and can also appear in the bookmarks menu as well as a shortcut link on the desktop. Normally people use genarators to help them develop favicons but some people use images at a small size (the RIGS Group blog's favicon is about 16x16 px). In fact the RIGS Group Blog's favicon was genarated.
